A Birthday Gift

My husband's grandmother June's birthday is in 2 weeks. She is a writer and a darn good one at that. I know she prefers to use her computer but I thought a personalized lined notebook would be a sweet touch as a birthday gift. I created a notebook cover and added it to a notebook at Shutterfly. This photo features June and my youngest son, Aidan on the day of Aidan's birth. The cover was designed using my and Spinky Dink Scraps' collab, Everyday Happenings (available at Gingerscraps, Stuff to Scrap, Elemental Scraps, and Gotta Pixel).

Everyday Happenings {Project 365} Collab with Spinky Dink Scraps

Hello scrappers! We had some fantastic weather here last week and this morning it decided to snow. I just got a new double jogging stroller last night and am a tad disappointed that I can't go out and use it today. On a positive note though, Spinky Dink Scraps and I are bringing out a brand new collaboration kit called Every Day Happenings. It's a Project 365/52/12 Kit but is versatile enough to be used for almost any layout. I've created some coordinating glitter styles and sheets too!

I participated last year....365 pictures, 52 layouts! But this year I'm taking off.

What is one goal you have this year...scrap related or otherwise?

To get my printed layouts in albums. I don't scrap in order, so putting the layouts in chronological order isn't exactly feasible, but I think I have an idea on how I want to organize them.

What is your favorite kit of Misty's?

It's 5 o'Clock Somewhere....we live near the beach so all of her little elements and word arts are perfect!

What is your favorite layout using one of Misty's kits?

This is of my sister and her husband in Vegas!

What are your hobbies other than scrapping?

I love to read, crochet, sew, but I spend so much time scrapping, my other hobbies have kind of taken a back seat. :-)

What is your favorite book?

The Monster At the End of This Book. When I was a kiddo, I loved this book. When I had kids I made certain it was in our family collection!!

How long have you been digi-scrapping?
Just over a year... I can't believe it's been that long already though!

Are you a scrapper, designer or both?
Mosty just a scrapper, but I do dabble a little in designing.

How many hours a week (on average) do you spend scrapping?
HAHA... my daughter always asking if I'm doing "my job" while I'm scrapping...does that tell you how long??

Which programs do you use to make your layouts?
PSE 7.0...my hubby got me 8.0 for Christmas...but we can't get it installed on my computer w/o having to reinstall and I'm not ready to take that plunge yet!

How would you describe your scrapping style?
Umm...I dunno. Traditonal maybe? I use 1-3 pics on an average lo. I wish I could learn to journal more.

Which scrap forum do you visit the most?
Stuff To Scrap! I'm a total Stuff To Scrap Junkie! :)

5 things you love:
The Lord, My Hubby, My two kids, that I get to stay home with my two kids, and Digi-Scrapping (of course)

5 things that bother you:
Our impending move to Texas (ready for it to be over already), having to balance the checkbook (how depressing), the way my hubby chews gum, that my kids are growing up WAY too fast, and that my family has to live so spread out from each other (I miss seeing my parents and siblings once a month!)

What is your Misty's favorite product?
Geez...do I have to pick just one?! That's impossible! I LOVE all of Misty's stuff! But ALL her Glitters Totally Rock! :)

Facebook Fan Diva

Welcome to our first edition of Facebook Fan Diva! It's Monica here. I had the pleasure of having the first interview with one of our fabulous fans.

This is Heather Harding.

How long have you been digi scrapping?

I have been digi scrapping for about a year and a half.

How did you discover Misty's designs?
I know Misty through her husband Dan, and when I found out she was digi scrapping I wanted to support her.

Which programs do you use to make your layouts?
I use Photoshop Elements 7.

Did you paper scrap before you digi scrapped?
Before I discovered digi scrapping, paper scrapping was my go to for a creative outlet. I LOVE making memory keepsakes for people.

Do you print your layouts individually and put them in a book or print a photo book?
The only digi project I have printed was a Shutterfly book for my dad. When he was in a coma I wanted him to have something to look at, if we weren't there, that would let him know we hadn't forgot about him.

What is your favorite kit of Misty's?

My favorite kit of Misty's is Fort Wilderness. It's so versatile.

What's the one scrapbooking item you can't live without?
The scrapbooking (paper) item I can't live without is Glue Dots. Digi scrapping item would have to be glitter.

Are you participating in project 365?
I am not participating in project 365...I'm in school full time and sadly I don't get to make many layouts.

I love creative arts, animals, spending time with friends and family. I am going to school full time to be a prosthetic technician and will soon be on my way to a clinical and hopefully a job. I have a B.A. in Criminal Justice and an M.B.A. but I really just want to help people make a difference and make people smile. I'm from Spokane, WA but my heart will always be in Las Vegas (Go Rebels) where I attend University of Nevada, Las Vegas on a track & field scholarship. I had a goal last year to train and finish a half marathon which I accomplished. So...my goal this year is to complete 2 half marathons! If I had the choice to live anywhere in the world, I would live in New Zealand. My favorite movie is anything with Matthew McConaughey. My favorite book would have to be The Shack. Although I haven't finished it yet, it has really challenged the way I think about God and His role in my life.
